The Son of Man will come if you do not expect it
Stewart: I’ll be honest with you, Jesus. Psychologists now know that threatening beatings and mailings to the headmaster do not change behavior. You would be more effective if you were gentle, understanding, and tenderly speaking of love.
Jesus: Thank you so much for your helpful words, Stewart. In fact, I spoke to my disciples who were overwhelmed with the kingdom for whom they were willing to sell their property and give away the proceeds. My words shouldn’t scare you, but rather a reality check. Giving your life to the kingdom leads you into a dangerous world. So I said to them, ‘Look at me. Do you want to live like this? ‘
Stewart: Thank you, Jesus. But if the kingdom of God is so dangerous, why would anyone want to go there?
Jesus: Because it brings them to life. And they know that I’ll be with them. Do you want to come with me, Stewart?
