Why be jealous for being generous?
We find it difficult to be generous. The parable of the workers in the vineyard perfectly shows how difficult it is for us to be truly generous and happy for the happiness of others. If you have found it difficult to accept such a situation in your life, take a moment to ponder. Perhaps someone received a position or award that you thought was yours, or perhaps you became annoyed that someone who did less was given the same as you. How can you trust God’s generosity and look forward to the other? Most importantly, how can you be comforted knowing that your happiness to the other is the same as God’s joy and kindness?
