The Canaanite woman debates with Jesus and saves her daughter
On the feast of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of pastors, we hear the story from the Gospel of Matthew about Jesus and the Canaanite woman.
It reminds us of the precious ministry that pastors have in our church. They offer places where people in need can find refuge and hope – whether they are part of the faith community or not.
As we reflect today, let us thank the pastors in our church. We pray that she will continue to follow in St. Kicking John Vianney and helping people reconcile with God.
