Throughout the scriptures we are reminded of God’s guidance over our lives. He is our good Shepherd who guides us when we ask for guidance. The Bible teaches that God’s plan is joy and contentment. When we pray for God’s guidance and discernment through the Holy Spirit, we can be sure that God will give wisdom! We don’t have to worry about our next step or tomorrow because we know who is showing us the way! Do not rush your day without going before God for guidance.

Good morning Mr! Today is a new day, a chance for a fresh start. Yesterday is over and with it all the regrets, mistakes or failures I may have experienced. It’s a good day to be happy and thanked and I do, Lord. Thank you for today, a new opportunity to love, to give and to be all that I am supposed to be.
Today I want to start the day with you in my mind and heart. While dressing, let me wear the armor that you gave yourself daily: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace and the sword of the spirit – with prayer my tongue: Praise for you and requests for those around me and those I meet.
Feed me your daily bread today. As the bread of life, like manna, your food will support me in all trials and famines. Help me get my thoughts on the above and only say what helps and encourages others. Stop me from putting my foot in my mouth and help me keep the affections of my heart today, Lord. Let every work I do be shaped by excellence rather than perfectionism as I am not aiming to make a name but to make a difference. Help me treat everyone I meet as you would, with respect and love, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness myself when necessary.
At the beginning of this day, help me remember that I belong with you and my desire is to act accordingly. Prevent my feet from tripping and my thoughts from getting caught in distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have designed for me. I am proud to be your child, sir. And I am so grateful that you died for me – rose again on your own new morning – so that each day could be filled with the wonder of your love, the freedom of your spirit, and the joy of knowing you.
