5. Pray for pastors in the United States
Church pastors must courageously and properly lead their people. You must never water down the glorious good news of Jesus Christ. You must preach the love of God without neglecting the need for everyone to repent. We all have not achieved the glory of God. We all need to repent. Our present world tends to flee solid teaching into its own desires and feelings. They want to hear what they want to hear, not necessarily what is best for them. Pastors need conviction to uplift the truth instead of bowing to people’s wishes.
Dear Lord, strengthen our pastors in the United States. Support their determination to preach the basic gospel. Give them words that are more than just encouragement. Help them speak the words of life and freedom of repentance.
6. Pray that the United States will have unity among its peoples
Weaknesses connect people more than common strengths. We all have weaknesses and we all sin. Neither of us is perfect. We all need each other to live our best lives. When God is our Lord, joy helps people understand and forgive others.
Dear God, help us live in harmony with one another. Delete dividing lines. Help us think divine thoughts of love and forgiveness. Start by bringing unity with the believers in the Lord Jesus and then let this spread to all other people so that more and more people will believe in you.
7. Pray that social media will be more positive than negative
People need to think before posting. You can post what you feel, but don’t be in a rush to do it. Hurrying can cause a lot of misunderstandings, but patience can add a lot of clarity to your words. Wise words are like deep waters flowing like a gushing brook (Proverbs 18: 4). Therefore, use your words carefully.
Dear Lord, help people spread these kinds of fruits on social media: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, kindness, loyalty, meekness, and self-control (Galatians 5: 22-23). When people mix this fruit in their words, love for our neighbors becomes contagious.
