Triumph of the cross
Numbers 21: 4-9. Do not forget the works of the Lord! – Psalm 77 (78): 1-2, 34-38. Philippians 2: 6-11. John 3: 13-17.
God sent his Son that through him the world might be saved
A humbling thought that God chose to be born a poor baby to die for me. Me. And you. Someone like me who struggles out of bed in the morning. Someone to smuggle in an extra cookie. Someone who falls asleep and says their prayers. And all I have to do is have faith. A little faith seems to go a long way with God. He gives so much for little on my part. Every day I have to choose how God chose to die for me. Choose to follow his word. Choose love when it seems easier to get angry. Choose to forgive when it is easier to reflect on past harm. Choose him the way he chose me.
Heavenly Father, may I never forget the sacrifice you made for me. Remind me that every moment I have a choice. Give me the strength to choose you
