A Powerful Prayer of Praise to God

Do you have a mind of desperation? Well, Isaiah 61: 3 prescribes a “robe of praise” for your condition. If you are struggling to put on this garment today, these words will keep you focused on the names and attributes of your Creator. Our God is holy, loving, eternal and amazing, beyond our understanding. Let’s pray these words together and turn our eyes away from our worldly problems and from our Heavenly Father, who deserves our praise!

Below I have included one of my own prayers and three others from other prayer warriors. I hope these lift your spirits and remind you of the one who has a wonderful plan for your life.

Abba, father, you are the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. You are my creator and my advisor who guides me daily to make wise decisions. You are my comforter in sorrow, pain or distress. I praise you for getting close to me when I get close to you. You are El Roi, the God who sees me, and you are eternal, Lord. You are my Heavenly Father and the Father of the fatherless. How great are you and your faithfulness, God, day by day.

You are holy, but you gave me a way to approach you. I praise you for being my helper and for convincing, correcting and protecting your Holy Spirit in my life. You are invisible, but I see you with believing eyes. You are Jehovah God and Jehovah Jireh who cares for all my needs. I praise you as my Jehovah Rapha, my God who heals, and for being Jehovah Rah, my faithful Shepherd. You are not only king, but you are king of kings and lord of lords. And yes, you are Jesus, the name above all names.

I praise you with all my heart, God. You are the Messiah, the soon to come King. You are omniscient; you know everything. You are omnipresent; always and everywhere. You are my peace, my protector and the high priest who became my savior and sacrifice forever. You died to set me free; you rose and gave me victory over death. I am no longer enslaved in sin; You are my salvation, my savior and my refuge. You give me hope inside

I praise you because you are trustworthy and truthful. You are my teacher, and your understanding and wisdom are beyond limited mind; you promise me wisdom if I ask for it. You are the way, the truth and the life. Lord, I love that you take pleasure in me and delight in me with song. You know the number of hairs on my head and you always think of me.

You are preparing a place for me so that one day I will live with you forever. Perhaps then – and only then – I can praise you appropriately, as it is not possible here on earth – as you really deserve it.

All my love, all my praise to you. Lord, oh Lord. How excellent is your name in which I pray!

Amen

We confess our need for you, our life does not go so well if we only spin alone around. We struggle and worry, get tired and exhausted. But you never leave us. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for caring for us, thank you for renewing our souls. We ask for your spirits to fill us, us to draw to you and accomplish your purposes through us while we fix our eyes on you. In Jesus name, amen. ” – Debbie McDaniel
