On this Labor Day, let us remember the power of prayer over our work. Whether you have a job you love, have trouble at work, or lose your job, God has a plan and a purpose in your life for this time of year.
Prayer can have a major impact on our work and our perspective. However, in our daily prayers we often exclude the needs we encounter at work. Whatever the reason, our work and workplace don’t come to our minds when we pray. As a result, we may not experience the fullness of what God wants for us when we are at work. When we start praying for our work, we realize that God is active in everything we do, not just in our “personal” or “spiritual” life. And that’s transformative. But prayer doesn’t change God’s heart about our work as much as it does ours. And when we begin to see our work as God sees it, we experience the power of prayer and God’s grace.
Use these Labor Day and all day prayers to remind yourself that God designed work to be fulfilling and bring Him glory!
