Millennium Media will fund and produce at least 15 films for Screen Media distribution over the next 3 years
COS COB, Connecticut, July 21, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSSE), one of the largest operators of streaming advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) networks, today announced Screen Media’s agreement with Millennium Media to release at least five of the production power plant’s films per year for the next three years. The first film will be The Enforcer with Antonio Banderas, Kate Bosworth and 2 Chainz. The film, directed by Richard Hughes, will be shot in Greece this summer. Screen Media will begin publishing in North America in 2022.
Millennium Media is best known for the box office hits The Expendables Franchise, Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen, The Hitman’s Bodyguard and Mechanic: Resurrection. Recent films include Angel Has Fallen and the successful reboot of the Rambo franchise, Rambo: Last Blood. In the last few years, Screen Media has developed into a leading provider of independent film distribution with only cinema, daily and date publications. In August, Screen Media released Chase Palmer’s Naked Singularity, starring John Boyega, Olivia Cooke, Bill Skarsgård, Ed Skrein, Linda Lavin and Tim Blake Nelson. The film premiered on the opening night of the San Francisco Film Festival 2021 and won the audience award. Crackle Plus will prominently display these films on AVOD and bring them to millions of viewers. The films should be important driver titles for the Crackle Plus networks. “

This deal is a testament to that and the success of our previous films like The Outpost in the hands of Screen Media, ”said Jonathan Yunger, Co-President, Millennium Media. “We look forward to continuing to produce high quality commercials and formalizing this partnership,” he added.
