A prayer for college students to be faithful and pure
Lord God please help me [NAMES] carefully choose what to expose themselves to. Give them the wisdom to know that what they allow their eyes to see, their ears to hear, and their mind to process will hold on to them for much longer than they imagined. Give them the strength to obey Romans 12: 2 and “not to be conformed to this world but to be changed by the renewal of” [their] Mind so [they] can prove what the will of God is, what is good, pleasant and perfect ”(NASB). Renew their spirits, Lord, by delivering them daily from the ungodly thoughts that this world will bombard them with. Help them find you and the above (Colossians 3: 2) and gather treasures in heaven (such as purity, righteousness in Christ, and a merciful heart) that this earth cannot steal from them (Matthew 6:19). -20). Lord, keep their bodies physically clean (from harmful substances or from any kind of abuse or addiction) and sexually (from attack, manipulation, the lure of pornography or sex outside of marriage). Keep their minds and hearts pure by protecting them from imagery, experience, or self-inflicted harm or shame from the enemy of their soul. Really help them know that they are precious to you and that their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit when they are in a saving relationship with your Son Jesus (1 Corinthians 6: 19-20).
Essential Bible Verses for College Students
Here are some verses that you can pray or write specifically for college students to encourage them:
“Rejoice in the Lord; And he will grant you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him also, and he will do it ”- Psalm 37: 4-5 NASB.
“Don’t worry about anything; Instead, pray for everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace that surpasses anything we can understand. His peace will guard your heart and mind while you live in Christ Jesus ”- Philippians 4: 6-7 NLT.
“For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13 NLT).
“And my God will meet all your needs for His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 NASB).
As you pray these prayers for students returning to school, remember that God loves them even more than you and that He is able to do anything in the lives of those who love God and are called according to His purpose To do good (Romans 8:28).
