May I please God

Lord, in this enigmatic teaching you draw me to think of two things: first, that nothing I have is really mine, what I have today is given to me to cultivate and share with others; second, that I am trustworthy, that I keep my word and that I am honest with others. Don’t let me project more than I really am, let me be humble about my limits. Jesus, you were even at the expense of the favor of influential members of society. Like you, may I prefer to please God rather than accumulate worldly goods or esteem.
