The Almighty has done great things for me
Mary inspires us in so many different ways. There is the young woman who is blessed by God and who agrees to bring Jesus into the world. There is the mother at the foot of the cross, who watches as her son suffers the painful death. There is the figure who remained an inspiration to the early Christians. And of course Mary has a privileged place in heaven on the feast of the Assumption.
As I read the Gospel today I cannot help but be inspired by Mary, the mother-to-be, who dreams of the future that will bring her child into the world. I can imagine the joyful moment this must be for her.
Thank you Maria for your hopes and dreams. We ask you to pray for us so that we too can realize the dreams that God has for us.
