Your father, who sees everything that happens in secret, will reward you
I am the man who stands to pray
who fasts and flashes cash to feed
the poor, all shown on social media.
I am the man who speaks for God.
I am God’s son who, born in the stable,
spent my growing years unseen
and died for you in solitary agony.
I am the Son through whom God speaks.
May our own life speak of God
through empty hands, through silent prayer
and hidden love disciplines,
just like the Son through whom God speaks.
