Your father’s spirit will speak within you
Lord, today, right now, I need your help. Someone I love made a bad decision and my heart is aching for I can already see the pain it will cause. I have to be as wise as a dove and as cunning as a snake, and even then I can’t stop wondering what to say to him. I am full of fear. Help me be courageous and trust that God is God in all things, no matter how bad it seems. Help me live in joyous hope. Give me the grace to trust that your perfect will is at work here too, and thank you always. I’m just asking you to show me the next step and be with me when I take it. Amen.
